President Obama, you my friend are one handsome piece of dark meat.
Most of you know I was and am a Obama supporter. It’s a wonderful feeling knowing our sound minded, well spoken, politically and socially educated president is looking out for the best interest of our nation. After 8 years of George SmellyBush and Dickhead Cheney it’s hard to image a leader without significant financial ties to oil and large pharmaceutical companies. Clearly I don’t mind an entrepreneurial president that wants to make more than his $400,000 salary, as long as we aren’t the ones paying for it.
It’s been two months since he has taken office and the housing market is still dropping with foreclosures through the roof, unemployment is coming close to a record high, and we just sent 17,000 more troops into Afghanistan. Did I expect candy and flowers as soon as he stepped into the white house? No. I think the road is taking its course and believe the overall goals of our leader will lead to a better America. Where I do see some issues, is in his new budget plan. The number one issue to be tackled is health care (Due to the all the bills SmellyBush signed, our health cost for medicare and social security is going to hit the roof). Now I see the importance of funding health care, but his bill will also double Americas debt and leave us with more than $23 trillion dollars owed to China and other countries. Not too gangster. Is there a better option?
I have just downloaded the 1000+ pages of the bill and plan to read it all in the coming days. What then? I will be writing my own budget plan, and will personally solve many of America’s financial issues. You might ask, “What does a semi professional comedy blogger know about the national economy and budgeting trillions of dollars for America’s spending?”At this point I’m not sure, but I usually come out successful in whatever I choose to pursue. Wish me luck, you’ll need it.
