I can confidently say I have no desire to ever listen to dubstep. It sounds like a mix of a blender filled with rocks and a car alarm going off at the same time. I’d rather watch my first born be eaten by a pack of wolves then listen to anything labeled as a “dubstep remix.” I’m not hating on it–I just can’t listen to it without getting a headache and therefore choose not to.

But I despite me not listening to dubstep, I have seen enough pictures of Skrillex to find this hilarious. If you’re unsure of what he looks like, Google image him before looking at this.

Some times you’re on. Some times you’re off. Specifically the rail she is was sitting on.

It’s been almost a year and a half since I spoke about my love for books and how they led me to want to finish my degree. I used to be able to spend an entire snowy day lying around reading books and fantasizing about taking tests. Well here I am, back in Florida, with six classes and a whole heap of homework and I’m starting to reminisce on those lazy days in Brooklyn. Asides from going to the library, I haven’t left my room in over month. My past Saturday night consisted of me reading popular plays during the Renaissance and eating half a gallon of ice cream (cookies n’ cream, if you were curious). Do you know what my friends did? They binge drank cheap beer and hit on hot chicks with fake boobs and loose morals. Not me–I was home, trying to decipher what the heck Christian Marlowe was saying about society in, The Tragical History of Doctor Faustus (I think it’s about greed, power and making love to the devil–not 100% though).

But even with several singularly spent Saturdays I still love it. I couldn’t be happier. Going to school to expand your mind on the things you love is so much better than just going to school so your parents will continue feeding you and letting you live in the house for free (not that I wouldn’t have done this anyways). It’s great. But with all that, here and there it might be nice to spend a day without worry. No quizzes, no tests, no papers on literary theory–just me on the beach laying out  just like this guy.
